How To Help Reduce Risk And Improve Weed Control In Soybeans

When it comes to soybeans, getting weed control right is mission critical. The Impact Rx™ Seed and Multiple Modes of Action program is designed to help you plan a best-in-class weed control strategy that’s backed by robust data to drive optimal yield potential.
The plan includes seed selection, a premium seed treatment and a multiple MOA herbicide program tailored to your operation. Years of replicated Answer Plot® trials have shown that following the best practices outlined in Impact Rx Seed and Multiple MOA prescriptions led to a 2.25 bu/A increase on average.1 If you follow the plan set by you and your retailer but don’t meet or exceed your approved yield, you can get a portion of your overall investment back in the service warranty.*
CROPLAN® WinPak® varieties also qualify for the program, which can add another level of risk reduction and enhanced yield potential. Each is a unique combination of two soybean varieties designed to address field variability and provide an exceptional level of stability, delivering high yield potential on productive acres and helping maintain consistency on more challenging acres.
This recently enhanced formulation contains four powerful fungicides to provide multiple modes of action against early-season diseases and resistant Pythium strains to help prevent root rot, stunting and reduced plant stands. It also includes the active ingredient in Cruiser® insecticide (thiamethoxam) for protection against an array of seed- and foliar-feeding insects.
Your local retailer will perform soil DNA tests to ensure the seed treatment selection matches the soil environment and disease pressure of your fields.
Your local retailer will work alongside you to determine optimal application timing by scouting and identifying the correct plant stages. They will also provide adjuvant recommendations to help you get the best performance possible out of your herbicide investment. Decades of Answer Plot research prove the value of including adjuvants in the tank, regardless of what soybean trait platform you choose.
For dicamba applications on XtendFlex® soybeans, for example, DRAs and VRAs are required by label. In addition, research conducted at the Innovation Center showed that including InterLock® adjuvant in the spray tank helps control fine particle drift that DRAs alone cannot. Including both InterLock adjuvant and a DRA in the tank, along with a water conditioner, reduced driftable fines by 60%.2
If you’re interested in bringing more certainty and yield potential to your soybean fields next season, talk to your CROPLAN retailer about enrolling in the Impact Rx program.

Seed
When choosing soybean seed, the decision is largely driven by which trait platform is the best fit for your operation. Any soybean seed sold by your local ag input retailer qualifies for the program, so you have plenty of flexibility to find the right variety for your farm. Your retailer will work with you to home in on the right variety, factoring in disease pressure, maturity groups and performance data.CROPLAN® WinPak® varieties also qualify for the program, which can add another level of risk reduction and enhanced yield potential. Seed Treatment
Soybean seeds face many threats in the furrow. Having a high-quality seed treatment can make a significant difference on crop performance. That’s why a premium fungicide and insecticide seed treatment is included in each Impact Rx prescription, such as Warden® CX II seed treatment. This recently enhanced formulation contains four powerful fungicides to provide multiple modes of action against early-season diseases and resistant Pythium strains to help prevent root rot, stunting and reduced plant stands. Herbicide Program
Impact Rx herbicide plans are designed to help you start clean and stay clean. Your plan will include two modes of action pre-emerge herbicides as well as one trait enabled post-emerge herbicide.Your local retailer will work alongside you to determine optimal application timing by scouting and identifying the correct plant stages.
